Working on the African urban climate at KU Leuven, one of my main concern is concerning data scarcity and the induced lack of resilience from populations living there.

Today, I am mainly concerned by how quickly environmental and climate changes occur, compared to the political inertia with regard to environmental issues.

Climate change threatens animals and humans, so don't waste time but act

Year after year, alpine glaciers are receding due to climate change. Far less visible, but equally important, is the thawing of the frozen underground, called permafrost.

Societal change, not climate change, requires political will. And this, in the end, requires pressure from citizen, at all levels of society.
